My job description has changed: I am going to need to learn the basics of C/C++. As part of the requirements for a specific ticket I needed to retrieve data from Memcache. I just can't believe how difficult it is to achieve this task compared to PHP!

Most companies which rely exclusively on Internet-based services are driven by the same principle: to make money with as little investment as possible. Nothing wrong with that, only that the amount of pressure is at times unbearable for me. Most of all, I believe it's unjustified.

Being technical lead isn't as rewarding as I thought it would be. I hate chasing developers when it comes to keeping track on who's working on what. You may argue that this is exactly why they invented bug tracking systems. Well, someone needs to write cases first, and if that's also part of my job then I'm essentially a manager instead of a developer.

Well, having purchased two Windows Mobile powered phones which totally let me down I just had enough; however, I wouldn't simply go for the most obvious and popular choice - buying an iPhone - and here's why.
